Restriction on Poultry Meat Exports

Ministry of Trade announced that, due to increasing domestic demand and price movements in the poultry market, poultry meat exports have been suspended as of today in order to support supply–demand balance in the domestic market.
The Ministry stated that:
• Price developments are being closely monitored,
• Speculative pricing and unfair practices are subject to strict inspections and sanctions,
• Wholesale and retail markets are undergoing intensified controls, and
• Necessary measures will continue to be taken to ensure consumers’ access to basic food products at reasonable prices.
