List of Steel Derivative Products Subject to 25% Tax in Canada

The Canadian Government announced on November 26, 2025, a significant change to the steel import quota applied to countries without a free trade agreement. Under this change, the quota rate has been reduced from 50% to 20%, and it was announced that an additional 25% customs duty will be applied to certain steel-derived products for all countries.
In line with this regulation, the list of steel derivative products subject to the 25% additional duty has been published by the Canadian Ministry of Finance. The announced duties will come into effect as of December 26, 2025.
