Circular No : 26/07

Republic of Turkey
MINISTRY OF COMMERCE
General Directorate of Product Safety and Inspection

Reference No.: E-24545304-554.01.01-00117668283

Subject: Import Inspections

January 12, 2026 /117668283
TO THE GENERAL DIRECTORATE OF CUSTOMS

As you are aware, in accordance with Communiqués No. 2026/1, 2, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 25, and 32 on Product Safety and Inspection (ÜGD) must be made directly through the Risk-Based Control System in Foreign Trade (TAREKS). In this context, for common GTIPs listed in the annexes of multiple Communiqués, if the GTIP in question is not covered by any UGD Communiqué as required by the legislation, an application must be made via TAREKS for any ÜGD Communiqué in which the product is listed based on its GTIP, and a single reference number must be declared by the importing company.

If it is subject to inspection only in accordance with one UGD Circular due to the technical legislation within its scope, the importer company must declare the single reference number to be obtained via TAREKS within the framework of the relevant UGD Circular.

This is sufficient and necessary.

I request that customs authorities be promptly informed that the single reference number for the common GTIPs listed in the aforementioned ÜGD Notifications is sufficient and that the necessary system updates be made regarding declarations outside the scope.
